Growing up in a foster home I always wondered what it would be like to live with my real parents. All I knew about my mom was that she was short …had red hair…and hung out with bikers. Every time I would see a lady that fit that description I would wonder if that was my mom. I walked up to a lot of biker chicks in the 80’s and 90’s and asked them if they had any sons named Darren. I stopped asking about 10 years ago when I got my answer. We’ll save that conversation for another blog. This is my Son…and he knows his mom and dad.

A lot of time on the road I’ll see some bizarre stuff.
This was one of those days.
GIANT WHITE ROCKS in the Motel 6 parking lot.
Actually…it’s my buddy Toogie Jackson. Check him out on myspace. Funny guy!
I was in the East Bay (Near Oakland, CA) and saw this dude at a bar:
This is the back of his head…
I would have asked for a 3rd picture…but I think he was getting a little annoyed with me.
”Because sometimes you want to be first at the 99 cent st0re”.

Denny’s has TAKEOUT? I guess this is for people who want diarrhea at home. Ba-Da-Bing!
As a father, I can’t even imagine the horror of losing your son. I offer my sincere condolences to John Travolta and his family.
I met Mr. Travolta on the set of “Be Cool” and he was a pleasure to work with. He arrived to the set in a black SUV with tinted windows. Every cast and crew member that was there that day, (About 50) watched him as he waved and called out to people by name. He was the biggest star on the set and treated everyone with respect and kindness. In between takes we talked about flying and his love for airplanes. Debi Mazar brought her child and they talked about kids and the pleasures of raising children. At that moment it didn’t seem like two actors killing time on a set… it seemed like two people… two parents bonding and sharing their love for something bigger than movies and stardom.
God Bless John Travolta and his family.
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a 1,000 winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sun on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled light
I am the soft star that shines at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there; I did not die.
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a 1,000 winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sun on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled light
I am the soft star that shines at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there; I did not die.
